Abstract:
Chances are, you’ve never wondered what the geese think, those graceful waterfowl that seem to meander without a care in our parks and ponds. They think a lot of themselves as they stroll through intersections with their goslings following behind in singe file as if they are the most important creatures in the world.

In the story, The Skein and the Pair, Kathy Flanary Nelson parallels the lives of a gaggle of geese and a human couple, the pair. Their lives intersect in the story.
