When it comes to writing, Kathy Flanary Nelson will tell you that her first love was poetry. She wrote a collection of over seventy poems and had them published in her first book, titled This is Life.

She continues to write prolifically. Her first publication for children being, You Make Me Want to Sing, is a melodically written piece of which all children and parents can relate.

The Skein and the Pair is a novella written for everyone who enjoys literary fiction. When Kathy is not writing books, she is in another place in the poetry she continues to write.
