Abstract:
Three friends, the US President, a CEO of a major corporation, and a renowned medical doctor, are all getting ready to retire on the exact same day. But one week before R-day, a bizarre terrorist crisis develops, ultimately interweaving all 3, just as they were thinking about coasting down, kicking back, and doing some light document shredding. Like any true, card-carrying lame duck, each struggles with the decision on whether to get involved, or just drag feet, hit the couch, and let their successors deal with the whole mess. Meanwhile the clock is ticking…and ticking…and ticking.
