Gary Flickinger was born in Vandalia, Illinois and attended school in Tucson, Arizona where he acquired a passion for writing. After serving a stint in the U.S. Army and as a Viet Nam veteran he moved to California where he began working with the public in various capacities.

Working particularly in retail sales for the last 12 years his knowledge and insight into the shopping public has brought about this tribute to retail employees.

Flickinger currently resides in Guthrie, Oklahoma with his wife of thirty years and is a devoted father of two.
