Biography:
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Norwich University in 1952 and completing a two-year stint in the military, Harry Sholk entered private industry as a designer of auxiliary rockets. In 1957 he earned a Master’s degree and became a munitions development engineer with the Department of Army, holding various supervisory level positions until his retirement in 1986. Complementing his vocation has been a life-long passion for American history. His first novel, Cameron’s Law, an account of family conflict and crime set in Oklahoma Territory, appeared in 2001. This was followed three years later by Drumbeats in the Valley: A Story of Life at Norwich University in the Early Nineteenth Century.
