Anna Marie Tjaden grew up on a farm in north central Iowa, where she attended a one-room country school for eight years before forced to drop out and work on the family farm. She continued her education through personal efforts, while experiencing the spectacular events of the 20th Century. She loves to read, bake home goodies and be a friend to all. Married for nearly 60 years when her husband passed away, Anna has four children, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. When 87-years-old, she learned how to use the computer and wrote her own memoirs.
