Biography:

Millie Fain Schneir is the eighth and youngest child of Pincas and Golda Meirowitz, Jewish immigrants to America from Romania. Born in 1917 and raised in the Jewish ghetto of Borough Park in Brooklyn, New York, she experienced assimilation into the cultural mainstream of American life.

Besides being a natural and engaging storyteller, she is an active civic leader and family matriarch. She is a mother and grandmother as well as a great grandmother to Rebecca, Max and Miriah. “Miss Millie” was a beloved nursery school teacher in Caldwell, New Jersey and is currently President of her Hadassah chapter in Plantation, Florida. This is her first book.
