Maralin “Six” Springer was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Currently residing in Queens, she is a dance educator for (and alumni of) Young Dancers in Repertory and the Center for Dance Studies. Her first poem, “Butterflies,” written at age eleven, was included in the Young Authors Magazine Anthology – Anthology 36. She has been featured in various publications, including The Flame of Eternity, Home at Last, Horizons, and Sage Junior College’s The Vernacular. She also received a Third Place Award for the 2001 Sebastian Charles DeMatteo Poetry Award for her poem, “Acquaintances.” Six’s other interests include songwriting and journalism.
