"A Small CandleLight Between The Darkness," is the first published work of Betty Jean Nobles. Ms. Nobles began writing poetry at a very young age. She is a graduate of Temple University School of Education. Besides being a writer, she has been a Philadelphia public school teacher for more than twenty years. .

Ms. Nobles is a supporter of PA CURE, (Citizens United to Rehabilitate Errants, national family /inmate support group). She is a member of The PA Prison Society and the PA Criminal Justice Task Force. She participates in Seminars on Re-Entry, Rehabilitation Behind Bars and Restorative Justice.
