Paul Preston was born on August 3rd, 1945 in Phoenix, Arizona and currently lives in California’s San Fernando Valley with his wife, Sonny, and their cat, Toni. In 1990 he earned an MFA in creative writing at George Mason University. He was the corporate editor and technical writer for Vivendi in Palm Desert, California where he published more than 100 technical and scientific articles for the water and wastewater industry. For the last few years he has been an adjunct English professor in several colleges in Southern California. Mr. Preston fishes, paints, and collects antique pill boxes in his spare hours.
