Richard Stathem began yoga studies, practice, and teaching while working as a public school teacher in Houston, Texas in the mid-1970’s. He taught and studied yoga at Houston’s “School of Yoga”, and later at Houston Community College. In 1980 Richard moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he has taught yoga primarily at Tulsa Community College and St. John’s Episcopal Church, and periodically at various other venues … all the while continuing to work personally in a variety of business and educational environments. In addition to yoga, Richard also teaches fundamentals of math at Tulsa Community College.
