Adam Sommers is a seventeen-year veteran journalist, specializing in prison and criminal justice issues. During the 1980’s, he was an investigative reporter for the “Writing” section of The Washington Times, chronicling the rise of crack cocaine and the epidemic of violence that drug spawned. For the last six years, he has been an editor and headline writer at the New York Daily News. He also writes essays and opinion pieces for a variety of publications.
