Sharing a Southern California home with her two teenaged boys, her husband, and a playful wheaten terrier, the author says that parenting refined and defined her as a person: “Our kids teach us how to be their parents. Our job is to come alongside them —to love and guide and strengthen them in their relationships with God,” she believes. She carries this philosophy into her private psychotherapy practice where she works with individuals and families and teaches parenting workshops. When she’s not parenting, carpooling, writing or working, the author is partial to long barefoot walks on nearby Santa Monica beach.
