James R. (Jim) Hartley graduated from Williams College in 1960 with a major in history, which sparked an interest in genealogy. For years he collected information about his and his wife’s family backgrounds, always seeking a way to preserve this data in a format that would be appreciated (and not thrown out!) by his descendants. Sojourn at the Crossroads grew out of this desire. Jim and his wife, Suellen, moved to Phoenix in 2006.
