Biography:

Dr. Joseph P. Hester, a retired educator, has written over thirty books for students, teachers, and the general public, many of which are based on his research in critical thinking and ethics. He earned the B.A. degree in the Social Sciences from Lenoir-Rhyne College in 1961, the B.D. and Th.M. degrees from Southeastern Seminary in 1967, and the Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Georgia in 1973 where he held a teaching assistantship in the Department of Philosophy and a research assistantship with the Georgia Studies of Creative Behavior. Creating Pathways for Leadership Development is an outgrowth of Leadership Under Construction (Scarecrow Press, 2004) and, in many ways, a supplement to our 2004 book.
