Dr. Judith Doctor is a board certified ophthalmologist and emeritus fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She received her B.S. from the University of Michigan and is a graduate of SUNY Downstate Medical Center. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at Manhattan, Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital in New York City. Prior to her residency, Dr. Doctor completed a straight pediatric internship at St. Luke’s Hospital in New York City as well as a postgraduate year in ophthalmology at Bellevue Hospital, also in New York City. She co-sponsored the first pediatric ophthalmology clinic at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital, a pioneering effort in the field of pediatric ophthalmology. Dr. Doctor initiated the screening premature infants in the nursery of Norwalk Hospital, Norwalk, Connecticut. This program led to the eventual establishment of specific guidelines prior to discharge of all prematures.

Dr. Doctor is currently a member of the Fairfield County Medical Association and the Connecticut State Medical Society.
