The author was originally born in Neillsville, Wisconsin, and now resides in Portage, where she has lived the past 24 years. She was a state employee for 34 years, but always wanted to write. Her retirement two years ago has given her the time to pursue her dream of becoming a published author. She enjoyed bringing to the reader authentic information about state locales along with the thrilling action of the novel. Always curious about new people and places, she loves history and traveling. She considers her two cats, Buster and Tasha Yar, her furry children.
