Biography:

Eugene Thamon Simpson earned degrees in piano and vocal performance from Howard, Yale and Columbia Universities. He appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show and toured the world entertaining troops with his Melodaires Quartet. In 1965, he won a Tanglewood Fellowship and performed with the Boston Symphony Orchestra, in Avery Fischer Hall, and in several NY recitals. As a studio singer, he recorded with major artists from Leontyne Price to James Brown. His voice pupils have won more than 100 awards and major competitions and appeared in recitals, concerts and major opera houses from the Metropolitan Opera to La Scala.
