Cornelia Warmenhoven was born in 1925 in the Netherlands. During WWII she became a nurse, an excellent cover for her work in the resistance against the Nazis. This forms the backdrop of her novel “Miracles.” While living with her husband in Dutch New Guinea she wrote newspaper articles, a weekly column for children, and started a club for the performing arts. After stops in France and Australia, she settled in America in 1968 and published her first novel in English, “The Longing”, in 2013. She is widowed with one son and currently lives in Virginia.
