I have known Brenda for years and she is one of the funniest people I know!! BUY THIS BOOK and you will not be disappointed, even you don't like Barry Manilow it will make you laugh!!

This book is a must for any Manilow fan, especially those of us who've been around awhile. It's hysterical because it hits home on so many of the things we've all seen, heard and experienced through the years with Barry and as his fans. There are song parodies, imaginary press releases, Top Ten Lists, tales of our experiences through the years, and much more. Plus it has great cartoons, and it's just a really fun read. I highly recommend it to any Manilow fan, plus much of the content will be thoroughly enjoyed by fans of other performers as some of the stuff we've gone through is no doubt common to fans in general. Don't get this book if you're looking for a chronicle of the life of Barry Manilow, nor if you're looking for sensationalism. This is just a gift from one fan to the rest of us, and what better gift than laughter? So by all means, get a copy. "This one's for us!"

What a fun book! I enjoyed every line - from the dedication to the acknowledgements. I chuckled all the way through this book. I love Brenda's sense of humor, and so will you! This is a must buy.

If you are a Barry Manilow fan, you have to read this. I saw myself in a lot of the same situations. Thank you Brenda, for making us "fans" laugh and not take ourselves too seriously. Truly enjoyable reading...

I found this book to be remarkable funny. There is nary a page in this book that you won't find funny from the starting your own country to asking Barry questions. A must for any long time Barry Manilow fan but also for a fan of just about any singer. Ms Meskunas will have you drawn in from the first page and I promise that you will not be able to put the book down until the last page. The only negative I can say about this book is that she forgot to add a beverage alert warning so be advised while reading do not eat or drink anything as this could cause damage to your copy.

A Very Strange Medley takes a hysterical journey through the trials, tribulations, and ultimately terrific years experienced by the people who count themselves among the legions of fans of Barry Manilow. However, a fan of any traveling artist will find plenty to identify with (and laugh over) in this compilation of humorous stories and events. Move over, Dave Barry..... :)

A must read for any fan of any celebrity! We can all identify with fanaticism in one aspect or another and this book hits every nail on the head. It made me laugh out loud and grin from ear to ear when I saw myself in some of those pages. Just don't call me a "loopy groupy"! Well done!

This book is very funny! I found myself laughing out loud while reading it on my daily train commute. Even though I'm not a Barry Manilow fan, I am a fan of Depeche Mode and a some movie stars, so I found it to be great reading! Great work, Brenda!

I read excerpts from the book when Lori brought it to Mandalay, and I just bought it myself..soo funny, I was crying from laughing so hard because it is sooo true!! If you have been a fan for a long time, you can relate, relate,relate!! Especially to the Q&A part! Brenda, this should be on the Top 10 Best Seller List! BRAVO!

i could not put this book down. Every new anicdote, every top ten list, every parody new release resounded with humor and a little truth. Anyone who has every worshipedtheir idol, from the King himselfto todays newest American Idols will see themselves in this book and laugh at all the similarities. The more I read the harder I laughed. This book is pure pleasure. Buy it for yourself, or buy it for a friend. (Better yet do both I am sure the author won't mind) This is one book you MUST read.
