A. Kingsley Weatherhead was born in England. He got a modest degree at Cambridge, before the war sent him to drive a truck in Palestine. Later he worked for the Times Educational Supplement, but in 1951 he migrated to this country, where, though planning to stay one year, he has been ever since. He has taught English in Tacoma, Washington, in New Orleans, and finally at the University of Oregon. He is now retired. His interests are bird watching and history. He and his wife live in Eugene, where they walk together in the rain.
